PACA Productions staged the Australian amateur premiere of Disney’s Frozen with an ambitious Broadway-scale adaptation at The Concourse Theatre. Bringing the magic to life on stage, the production featured bespoke Arendelle production design, 2 custom-built full-scale puppets, over 100 custom costumes, a 23-piece live symphony orchestra conducted by David Catterall, and an extraordinary Sydney cast and crew.

Blending bespoke production design with an extraordinary Sydney cast and live symphony orchestra, our Australian amateur premiere transformed The Concourse Theatre, Chatswood into an immersive winter kingdom.

SCENIC & PRODUCTION DESIGN

Bespoke Arendelle Scenic Design

For the landmark Australian amateur premiere of Disney's Frozen, Production Designer William Pulley and Co-Directors Kaitlin Hillier and Rodrigo Medina Noël transformed The Concourse Theatre into the winter kingdom of Arendelle. Custom Nordic architectural set pieces, atmospheric stage snow, dynamic theatrical lighting, and integrated visual design brought Cassidy Lobb's Act I finale “Let It Go” to life.

PUPPETRY & WARDROBE

2 Custom Puppets & 100+ Costumes

Head of Wardrobe Erica Williams and our construction team built over 100 bespoke Arendelle costumes, including Elsa's split-second on-stage ice-dress transformation, alongside 2 full-scale articulated puppets for Olaf (brought to life by Lachlan Ceravolo) and Sven (performed by Jack Fahd).

23-Piece Live Symphony Orchestra

At a time when commercial and professional theatre productions are increasingly cutting down their orchestra sizes or replacing acoustic players with digital click-tracks, PACA makes it a core mission to showcase live musical talent. Under the baton of Music Director David Catterall, a full 23-piece live symphony orchestra performed Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez's complete Broadway score.
