The True Inspiration Behind Peter Pan

Based on the Academy Award-winning Miramax motion picture by David Magee and the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan by Allan Knee, Finding Neverland follows the remarkable bond between Scottish playwright J.M. Barrie and the Llewelyn Davies family in London's Kensington Gardens. Confronted by theatrical producers demanding a commercial hit and a Victorian society bound by convention, Barrie discovers a world of pure imagination alongside Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and her four young sons: Peter, Jack, George, and Michael.

With a soaring contemporary pop-rock and orchestral score by Gary Barlow (Take That) and Grammy Award winner Eliot Kennedy, paired with an emotionally resonant book by Olivier Award winner James Graham, the musical bridges turn-of-the-century Edwardian London with the timeless enchantment of Neverland. Iconic musical numbers including Believe, Neverland, Stronger, Circus of Your Mind, and When Your Feet Don't Touch the Ground showcase both intimate dramatic storytelling and full-company theatrical spectacle.

Creative Leadership & Live Symphony Orchestra

Our 2027 New South Wales Premiere brings together a distinguished Sydney creative team dedicated to mainstage excellence on the Lower North Shore. The production is co-directed by Rodrigo Medina Noel and Janina Hamerlok, with Janina Hamerlok also leading choreography across the production's sweeping ensemble sequences. Musical Director David Catterall conducts a full live symphony orchestra in The Concourse orchestral pit, supported by Assistant to the Directors Caleb Wood and Assistant Music Director Cass Donovan.

Staging, Scenic Vision & Theatrical Craft

Designed specifically for the 500-seat proscenium auditorium at The Concourse in Chatswood, PACA Productions' staging combines classical Edwardian architectural textures with immersive theatrical projection, flying sequences, and bespoke period costume design. Just as our technical and wardrobe teams crafted custom puppetry and scenic automation for our theatrical costume and set hire collection, the 2027 season of Finding Neverland elevates local production values to commercial mainstage standards.

Casting Briefs & Sydney Audition Registration

Casting is now open for principal adult roles (including J.M. Barrie, Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, Charles Frohman / Captain James Hook, and Mrs du Maurier), youth performers aged 8 to 15 sharing the roles of the four Llewelyn Davies boys across alternating teams, and our adult vocal and dance ensemble.
